Hi, I’m Omar McFarlane. I currently live in-between Forest Hills, NY and Westbury, NY. As it stands, I am a contributing writer for Engadget and I could not love it more. I ran away from home to pursue a Marketing degree at Stonehill College in MA, which I did not know was a state until I went there. Yes, I am horrific with geography.
After almost nine years of lurking on the internet, having various short term websites here and there, I finally decided on settling down. Topics will range all over the place, but mostly focus on technology and design — those being my greatest passions. My mind wonders all over the place, so don’t be alarmed if at some point I am found contemplating why roads are black and why you can never really find enough outlets.
The best thing I’ve ever been told about me was in 12th grade when my physics professor Luis Pesca said, “Omar, you are the most interesting individual I have ever met.” I can’t remember the context, I imagine it was when I made myself a brother.
